DESCRIPTION

Sales Professionals, do you have knowledge of metal working-with any of the following: Metal Sales, Metal Fabrication or Industrial Distribution Sales?

We are looking for someone with at least 5-years of Outside Sales experience who is experienced in building lasting customer relationships and is passionate about making meaningful contributions to our customer’s success. Don’t be mistaken, this is a challenging career path but also highly rewarding.

THE CHALLENGE
The Account Manager is able to partner effectively and efficiently with customers and company staff in driving market share and profitable revenue growth in line with the organization’s short and long-term growth objectives for their sales territory.

Tracks product, market and competitor trends; e.g., journals, leads, and conversations with industry professionals. Identifies key opportunities and potential business threats. Provides relevant information, as appropriate, to management, marketing, sales, purchasing, and warehouse staff, as well as customers.

Proactively prospects for new business; e.g. cold calls and leads. A “hunter” for new business opportunities effectively utilizing technology including the Internet and IMS business systems.

WHAT YOU BRING TO IMS

  • 5+ years of Outside Sales experience in the metals industry
  • Strong outlook for your growth path to move into a management role.
  • Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated an understanding of the metals industry
  • Knowledge of best practices related to sales and customer service
  • Proven consultative selling skills
  • Excellent technical computer skills. High level of knowledge with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Salesforce

REQUIREMENTS

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must have a personal-owned or leased vehicle that represents the company image in a positive manner.
