  • Inside Sales Representative

    GENERAL PURPOSE

    Leverages individual and collective sales/ service skills in supporting Company to achieve its revenue, market share,customer retention/ penetration and profitability goals.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:    Essential functions of the job are denoted by an asterisk (*).  Other duties may also be assigned.  Please note that the essential functions may vary depending on department size,organizational structure and/or geographic location. 

     

    *•       Keeps abreast of product, market and competitor trends. Identifies key opportunities and potential business threats. Communicates information, as appropriate, to Inside Sales Manager, outside sales representatives, operations staff and customers.

    *•       Partners with outside sales and supervisor to identify/ qualify prospects and retain/penetrate existing accounts. Makes outbound calls to acquire/ follow-up on new/ additional business, or to inform customers of market conditions/ related information that can affect them.

    *•       Responds to incoming calls in an effective,efficient and harmonious manner in collaboration with other Inside Sales staff.  Provides customers with timely and accurate information related to product lines/ usages,processing capabilities and delivery service. Thoroughly educates customers on products to be purchased to minimize likelihood of returns.

    *•     Works closely with operations staff at the various branches to help ensure that appropriate inventory levels are maintained to fulfill customer requirements in line with profitability objectives. Checks for current/ future product availability. Where not available, suggests appropriate substitutions or brokered product for requested product items.

    *•       Plays a key role in achieving service and quality standards. Informs supervisor of any large inquiries, as appropriate, before quotinto obtain proper guidance for handling. Establishes pricing and confirms quotations in an effort to close the sale. Then reviews and confirms all sales orders with customers to ensure accuracy and reduce the likelihood of errors.

    *•       Serves as key liaison in keeping customers informed of back orders, delays in incominmaterial, and any other challenges that may adversely affect service levels and customer satisfaction.

    *•       Informs Outside Sales staff, credit department and supervisor of any significant opportunities, lost orders, relevant competitor trends, availability of material complaints,and other relevant information that could affect the company’s ability to deliver or meet its predetermined objectives.

    *•       Works closely with managers and other staff members on ongoing improvement related to pricing, inventory management,quality and service levels.

    *•       Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.

    With  Supervision/Direction:

    ·        Customer Service/Satisfaction--Recognizing and making the customer our top priority,fully satisfied from start to finish, and assuring that he or she wants and continues to do repeat business with our company. Must consistently demonstrate excellent communication skills, orally and written.

    ·        Must be adept at cash handling, accepting credit cards and creating a positive customer experience.

    ·        Safety—Must carryout your duties in a manner that is safe for both you and your customer. Ask for help from another associate if you are handling material that is heavy or cannot be safely handled by one person.

  • Supervisor- 1st Shift

    GENERAL PURPOSE: TO PROVIDE IMS CUSTOMERS IN THE MOST RELIABLE, RESPONSIVE, AND HIGHEST QUALITY SERVICE IN OUR INDUSTRY

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Essential functions of the job are listed below.  Please note that other duties may also be assigned.

     

    With little or no supervision/direction:

     

    ·         Plan, schedule, coordinate, and direct warehouse operations for assigned shift.

     

    ·         Create and model a culture of “safety first” so that all associates that work or enter the warehouse follow company safety rules. (See Safety Section below.)

     

    ·         Maintain a clean warehouse environment by ensuring that proper housekeeping is followed during the shift and is effectively coordinated between shifts.

     

    ·         Direct the associate development process for the assigned shift warehouse associates.  Establish a warehouse training and development plan including:

    o    Safety

    o    Quality /ISO procedures

    o    Onboarding for new hires and in-house promotions

    o    Performance evaluations

    o    Informal and formal counseling process

    o    Career ladder opportunities

    o    Salary administration process

    Training and development records must be current and clearly documented.

     

    ·         Direct the hiring process on your assigned warehouse shift, ensuring that quality and safety conscience candidates are hired. All evaluations must be clearly documented, done timely, and provide two-way feedback in a confidential performance conversation.

     

    ·         Verify prior to start of shift that all equipment is in safe operating order.  Verify daily checklists of each piece of equipment and vehicles are completed and turned in. Ensure preventive maintenance activities are properly recorded and any necessary maintenance requests are submitted to the warehouse manager.

     

    ·         Manages warehouse paperwork flow for orders, including; expediting, changed & cancelled orders, future orders, "hold for incoming" orders.  Acts as the primary contact with the Sales department.

    ·         Carry out the policies outlined in the associate handbook for your shift as well as other warehouse shifts.

     

    ·         Process orders in accordance with all ISO, safety and written operational procedures.  Ensure orders are processed to meet customer delivery and order requirements.

    ·         Review Work Orders and Proofs of Delivery are completely filled out, including proper signatures.

     

    ·         Recognize opportunities and take action where appropriate to improve plant operations, improve productivity, reduce expenses, improve safety and reduce errors.

     

    ·         Provide detailed content in the performance evaluation of direct reports. Review and approve supervisors’ performance evaluations of their direct reports. All evaluations must be clearly documented, done timely, and provide ptwo-way feedback in a confidential performance conversation

     

    ·         Initiate and resolve appropriate Corrective Action Requests and Process Improvement Requests.

    ·         Review orders processed the night before and verify that all missed order or backorder paperwork is handled properly.

     

    Shift Supervisor Safety Role

     

    ·         Accepts responsibility and accountability to maintain a safe work environment for associates, customers and guests.

    ·         Continually communicates the importance of safety to staff.

  • Material Handler (Cutter/Puller)

    GENERAL PURPOSE: TO PROVIDE IMS CUSTOMERS IN THE MOST RELIABLE, RESPONSIVE, AND HIGHEST QUALITY SERVICE IN OUR INDUSTRY

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Essential functions of the job are listed below.  Please note that other duties may also be assigned.

     

    With little or no Supervision/Direction:

    ·         Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.

    ·         Using stock tag for stocking location, place material in proper storage container.

    ·         Must be able to follow all IMS Safety Rules

    ·         Able to identify and properly handle brokered items, customer dedicated material and buy-outs

    ·         Has knowledge of material and material location.

    ·         Able to read work order to assure correct material is properly loaded on our truck in the correct sequence

    ·         Able to locate and safely pull material indicated on work-order using the appropriate material handling equipment.  (I.e. Forklift, side-loaders, etc…)

    ·         Able to assist in most departments when needed.

    ·         Verify size with the use of calipers, tape measure and color coding system.

    ·         Able to change stocking location of material in IMS System when material has been moved.

    ·         Verify that pulled material meets IMS quality standards

    ·         Able to efficiently handle Sheet Material

    ·         Document material pulled using the IMS process

    ·         Able to be operate all cutting equipment.

  • Class A Driver

    GENERAL PURPOSE: TO PROVIDE IMS CUSTOMERS IN THE MOST RELIABLE, RESPONSIVE, AND HIGHEST QUALITY SERVICE IN OUR INDUSTRY

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Essential functions of the job are listed below.  Please note that other duties may also be assigned.

     

    With little or no Supervision/Direction:

     

     

    ·         Before checking loads, make sure quantity shipped information is transferred legible from work order/customer copy to delivery receipt.  Identify which orders require test reports and make sure delivery receipt is stamped with "Test Reports Received."

    ·         Verify that test reports are attached securely to customer copy.  Do not leave unless you have all test reports required for material on your truck.

    ·         Verify all back ordered items are clearly identified on Customer copy.

    ·         Visually verify all orders are properly and safely loaded on the truck.  Match paperwork to material.  Any discrepancies should be communicated to your supervisor prior to departure or immediately when it happens during delivery.

    ·         In case of inclement weather, tarp all material.

    ·         Assist customer with unloading material and make sure delivery receipts are signed, name printed, dated and test report received and signed for.

    ·         All refused shipments and material, including not found on truck, must be clearly noted with reason and initialed by driver.

    ·         If making pick-ups, verify quantity, quality of material and test report before you sign for material and that it is properly loaded on your truck.

    ·         When driving an IMS truck, Drivers are required to drive safely, courteously, and within all laws

Checks for current/ future product availability. Where not available, suggests appropriate substitutions or brokered product for requested product items.

    *•       Plays a key role in achieving service and quality standards. Informs supervisor of any large inquiries, as appropriate, before quotinto obtain proper guidance for handling. Establishes pricing and confirms quotations in an effort to close the sale. Then reviews and confirms all sales orders with customers to ensure accuracy and reduce the likelihood of errors.

    *•       Serves as key liaison in keeping customers informed of back orders, delays in incominmaterial, and any other challenges that may adversely affect service levels and customer satisfaction.

    With Minimal Supervision/Direction:

     

    ·         Promptly and accurately create new customer accounts, create broker item part numbers, enter orders and enter RGA’s

    ·         Relieve the Operator and/or Receptionist as necessary.

    ·         Data Entry Functions - Promptly and accurately proof-read and correct orders and RGA’s. Reprinting orders as necessary. 

    ·         Assist Inside Sales Department with filing, typing, faxing, forwarding faxes, obtaining copies of shippers, pods, correcting errors, finding records and providing customer service as requested. 

    ·         Billing - Promptly and accurately invoice orders and RGA’s.  Verifies correctness prior to closing.

    ·         Assist the Office Supervisor with reviewing reports, research, etc.

    ·         Promptly and accurately provide certificates of compliance and mill test reports to customers.

    ·         Assist the department in fulfilling it’s responsibilities by providing backup, support and training to other members of the department as necessary.

    ·         Run credit cards, balance credit cards daily and maintain files of credit card transactions.

    ·         File Test Reports according to Purchase Order Number, Maintain Files, removing older test reports to be boxed, labeled and stored in upstairs storage area as needed.

    ·         Accurately and promptly scan and index work orders, pod’s, transfers, credit card slips, test reports and MSDS in Imigit.

    ·         Daily balancing of retail transactions as assigned.

    ·         Payroll Functions – Maintains accurate records as noted on the Absence Report Form.  Verify accuracy of time cards.  Print timesheets for drivers over time.
